Velvety Shampoo

You see, my hair used to be so buhaghag and all. No, really. Chaka talaga siya. Pero after using Velvety for 3 days, sobrang napansin ko yung difference.


Nag-text ang GMA officemate kong si Gra para humingi ng favor. Kailangan daw niya ng 50-seconder TV commercial sa isang subject nila sa grad school. She's taking up MA in Psychology. Titingnan daw nila through the commercial iyong behavioral implications of advertisements to the consumers.

Sabi niya, si Erich daw ang kukuhanin niyang model. Erich is also a GMA officemate na bakla man sa inyong paningin, Amy Austria pa ring maituturing.

Anyway, hindi na ako gumawa ng audio-video script. Yung mga spoken lines na lang ng model ang sinulat ko. Si Gra na bahala kung paano ang treatment na bet niya. Ayun. Here we go.

Erich: Since nagtatrabaho ako sa media, I know that most of the TV commercials are not really true, especially shampoo ads. Kasi naman, may hair treatment talagang ginagawa sa mga models prior shooting.

Pero when I was asked to try Velvety shampoo, I was like, ok, libreng shampoo. But after using it, my gosh, I knew that I have to share it with everyone.

It must must be the melon extract that they specially developed for Filipino hair. I need to go to the salon no more. Velvety lang, kabog na.

While writing the copy, sinubukan kong alalahanin ang mga bagay na natutunan ko sa subject naming advertising. Heto yung ilan:

1. Dapat ma-mention ang pangalan ng product as many times as possible.

2. Dapat ma-identify ng consumers ang sarili nila sa product.

3. Dapat ma-define ng advertisement why the product is different and way better than others.


Napag-uusapan na rin lang ang advertising, naaalala ko ring sinabi ni Sir Villarante na advertising industry raw pinakamalaki ang kita. Inambisyon ko noon na makapenetrate sa isang ad agency, pero naiisip ko yung stress, yung oras ng trabaho. Hahahay. Marami ngang pera, pero gagastusin din naman sa ospital paglaon.
