Training to Train

Lakas maka-mental block ng do I have any question.

Nakatanggap ako ng tawag kaning umaga, bandang 8am. Unregistered number. Ang lakas ng feeling ko. Eto na yun eh.

"Hello?" Tanong ko.

"Is this Leodevino Lopez?"

"Yes, this is he. May I know who is in the line?"

"This is Cyrus from Rarejob Philippines, Inc."

Pak. Yun na nga. Pasok sa banga. Happy new year talaga sa akin.

"Oh, hi. Good morning, Cyrus."

"Good morning. Is this a good time to talk?"

"Sure. How can I help you?

"Well, are you still interested to apply for the part-time ESL trainer position?"

2 months na akong jobless to date. Okay lang sana ang walang trabaho kung may pera, kaso malapit na akong maglakad sa NLEX papasok sa school kaya kailangan ko nang maghanapbuhay one more time. Kayod kayod din.

"Of course." Ecstatic kong sabi.

"Okay, that's good. I just want to know your current situation."

Kabog. Current situation daw. Sabihin ko kayang wala akong jowa. At NBSB ako. Lol.

"Well, I don't a job at present. I'm currently taking up my master's. My classes are every Friday and Saturday."

"I see. Are you available next week, Tuesday?" Tanong niya. Anlapad na ng ngiti ko.

"Yes, I'm free on that day."

"Okay. I will be sending you the details of your training. Do you have any question?"

Lakas maka-mental block ng do I have any question. "Right now, I can't think of any. Can I send it through text message if ever I have further queries?"

"Sure. Of course."

Ayun. Kaya nga ngayong magiging part-time trainer na ako ng ESL (English as Second Language), kahit papaano I could put into practice naman the things that I learned from my educ units.

If ever matuloy, this will be my fourth job already. Dati akong call center agent, naging online proofreader, at naging corporate employee. I don't know if impressive ba yun. Ang bilis ko kasing magsawa. Probably I'm still in the process of finding what I really want to do.

Japanese students pala ang client ng Rarejob. Kapag nagkataon, susubukan ko ring maging japayuki.

"Yamete! Yamete kudasai!" Hahaha.
